What attracts you to a neutral toned wardrobe?

For me, I find that neutral tones allow me to mix and match my pieces easier. It’s so much less hassle to throw on an outfit and be on the go all the time when you don’t have to worry about whether everything matches. Neutrals go with neutrals, there’s no doubt about that! I also find that neutral tones make for great transitional pieces – I have so many dresses or tops that work perfectly for every season!

Do you shop vintage/second hand for pieces?

All the time! If you know me, you know that I can’t resist a rummage through a charity shop or two. I’ve found some of my most favourite pieces when thrifting, especially when it comes to coats, tees and knitwear!

Would you call yourself a minimalist?

Yes and no, honestly. I love minimal style and find joy in simplistic aesthetics and neutral tones, but I’m also very hooked by the new in section of the H&M site on a monthly basis, which means I tend to buy a lot more than I should do. I wish I could be minimalist in every sense, you know. Living in a minimal apartment space, only a capsule wardrobe and linen bed sheets to keep me company, but, I can be a little bit of a hoarder sometimes!

Do you have any tips for making the most out of your wardrobe?

I like to ensure that there’s nothing just sitting in my wardrobe, unloved and unworn. I always ask myself 3 questions: Have I worn it in the last 3 months? Will I wear it in the next 3 months? Does it have sentimental value? If the answer is no to 2 or more of those, it’s going in the charity bag! I don’t like the idea of not making the most out of my outfits, so I think ensuring you’re only holding onto pieces you love and wear a lot is crucial for that!

What brands do you find do the best key staples?

My go-to stores for staples have to be H&M, Weekday, Arket and Zara. I love the quality of the pieces from these stores, as well as the fact that they’re all brilliant for basics, blazers, jeans and jumpers!
